doing this one movie per year for each year of my life...I have seen every "favorite" movie on this list and,unless stated otherwise,it will also be in my personal collection. I was less stringent with the honorable mention picks as far as having to have them in my collection. If I do, they will be hilighted in yellow.
There will,of course,be movies not listed that you think should be here. If a movie isn't listed then it's likely for 1 of 3 reasons...1) I just haven't seen it 2) I've seen it and didn't care for it,had no attachment to it 3) I missed it on the list of movies and forgot about it lol (hey,i'm reading the name of every movie released over a 50 year period.I may just miss a few)
1963 - Cleopatra They should make a movie about making this movie. And they should call THAT movie "Clusterfuck" The end result is great but what chaos and drama behind the scenes!
honorable mention.....The Brain That Wouldn't Die, How The West Was Won,Irma LaDouce,It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World,Jason And The Argonauts,King Kong Vs Godzilla,The Nutty Professor.
1964 - Robinson Crusoe on Mars. I saw this play as the matinee in the local theater several times as a kid. loved it then,love it now. Cheesy effects in spots but it adds to the charm.
honorable mention.....Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte, The Pink Panther, Failsafe, Fistful of Dollars, Goldfinger, I Eat Your Skin, and A Hard Day's Night.
1965 - Cat Ballou. Lee Marvin won a well deserved Oscar for his portrayal of twin brothers in this hilarious western. NOT IN MY COLLECTION.
honorable mention...Dr. Zhivago, Curse of the Fly, Attack of the Eye Creatures, Dr Who and the Daleks, Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines. Felt like a weak year as I went through the list of movies released in this year.
1966 - Batman : The Movie. So bad,its awesome! one of my all time fave lines comes from this one Batman is running along trying to find a place to throw a bomb before it explodes. Everywhere he goes there are innocent people.."some days,you just can't get rid of a bomb" NOT IN MY COLLECTION.
honorable mention..... A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, Born Free, One Million Years B.C., The Russians Are Coming! The Russians Are Coming!, A Man For All Seasons. Wow, I thought '65 was a bad year for movies. 1966 was worse! not just for movies in my collection,or have seen,but overall not a good year.
1967 - Bonnie & Clyde Classic gangster pic that launched a few careers. NOT IN MY COLLECTION. (The mid 60's don't seem to be well represented in my collection!)
honorable mention (a much better year in terms of quality,if not representation) Barefoot in the Park, Doctor Doolittle, The Dirty Dozen, Fitzwilly, Guess Who's Coming To Dinner, To Sir With Love.
1968 - Planet of the Apes I had this one all ready to go! lol. No matter how many awesome movies there were for 1968,NOTHING could possibly mean as much to me as this movie. It's my movie comfort food. I've likely seen it 150+ times in my life. Ask my family lol
honorable mention...2001 A Space Odyssey, The Boston Strangler, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Night of the Living Dead, The Odd Couple.
1969 - True Grit My favorite western ever. NOT IN MY COLLECTION. Elsewise,1969 was the worst year yet. Mid to late 60's sucked. LOL

That's it for the 60's. I'm hoping the 70's are better represented in my collection. I will find out when I do them, gonna take a break for a bit. between this and the actual compilation of a data-base of my movie collection, I'm a tad burnt out on reading/typing movie titles. lol
