These are pics my dad had taken for one of his runs for public office.
The thing I admire most about my father is that people who didn't like his views on stuff always said that he is a "no bulllshit" kind of guy. Agree or disagree with his opinion, you knew he wasn't bullshitting you.
Which is rare for a politician.

Teriana : he first ran for Mayor, lost, then cleaned up a bit from his hippy image and ran for alderman. Successfully. On his first run for Alderman I believe it was a landslide. Then he ran successfully for a few consecutive terms and then tried Mayor again but again didn't quite get it. He decided it was better to be on the outside looking in. He went to work writing a column in the local weekly newspaper. It was easier to ask the tough questions that way. My father is far too honest to be a successsful politician for a very long period of time.
