commercial....

There's an info-mercial running on TV right now. It's for a collecton of old time country music songs. One of the clips shown is of a father-daughter act, whose names I can't recall, and the song they are shown singing goes like this :
"Heaven's just a sin away, oh, heaven's just a sin away..."

Is it just me or is there not something creepy about a father-daughter team singing those lyrics together? I'm just saying....

That was the Kendalls, Alex. Jeannie and Royce, and they were one of my favorite country duos from the 70's.

But I thought the same thing about them. They also sang one called "The Pittsburg Stealers", and the lyrics go: "They should call us, the Pittsburg Stealers, stealing love away....." - referring to them both cheating on their spouses.

And another one, "It Don't Feel Like Sinnin' To Me".

You see a creepy pattern developing here?

Still I LOVE their songs. I just kind of go, la la la la la....and don't think too much about the incest factor that could be involved. ;o)

Hmmm. I guess I never realized they were a father-daughter duo. That's officially creepy.
