Here are the first report cards I ever got. Grade 1, 1969-70. The teacher was Mrs. Norman. My most favorite teacher of all time. You will notice that there is a thread of "self-confidence/outgoing attitude" improvement. It was all due to her taking me under her wing and also pushing me when I needed to be pushed.
She's great. I can never say enough good things about her.
First term, November 1969

I once discovered some of my aunts' old report cards. They all received a check mark next to "Whispers too much."
