First things first : I hope you are all fine and that your lives are free of any serious troubles. Okay, on with it now....
I'm going skiing again (hopefully) on Saturday..can't wait! A friend is being kind enough to donate me a used pair of ski's that are just sitting there doing nothing, which is way cool. I have become so enamored with skiing that I actually am making my first serious effort to quit smoking so that I can have more money to put towards "my new drug" I'm on the patch (about 5 days now) and have smoked less than a pack in that time. Considering that I was a pack a day man I am doing excellently.
I've been downloading a lot of movies the last few days and one that I enjoyed in particular is Rob Zombie's "Halloween". I gotta say that I think it was actually better than the original. Slowly, but surely, I am becoming a big fan of RZ.
Just finished watching my first episode of Celebrity Apprentice. I won't give away who leaves tonight but I will say it was a very entertaining episode and the ending was brilliant. Very funny stuff.
New Survivor and Big Brother's starting soon. Yawn. I know I'll watch but the thrill is gone, really.
Starting Feb 1 in BC you are going to have to pay for your gas before pumping it at ALL gas stations in BC (credit and debit at the pump, cash in the store). I know it's going to be inconvenient for some people but I am soooo tired of getting ripped off by people and say it's high time this law was brought in. There'll be lots of bitching and whining but I don't care.
Q : What do a tornado and a divorce in Salmo have in common?
A : Somebody's losing a trailer!
We have about 5 feet of snow now. We're going to end up with a crapload cuz it's still dumping down on us as I speak. Big flakes too!
My mom lost one of her cats a couple months back (not the stray they found last year, one she had had for a few years). Well, god gave her a new soul to look after as the other day they found another stray. Her name is Samantha and she's a cutie-pie. (pics will be put up when mom takes some) One of those cats with a pushed in face. Sweet tempered and gentle she, like Tabitha last year, has adjusted to the dogs (Lab/Chow crosses) immmediately. I tell my mom it's the old prison-survival theory in operation : make friends with the biggest and meanest first!
Anyhow, time to go play some games, talk atya laters, gators!

Hey, Alex! Good for you on the quitting smoking! Keep up the good work!
Skiing is a much better habit to have, assuming you don't break anything on one of your jaunts down the mountain.
We had freezing rain, sleet and snow today, but the rain melted away the snow and ice. Dang it! I wanted some snow, but not this time it seems.
So your Mom has a new furkid, huh? I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures.
Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend, Alex. ;o)
Love and hugs,
Diane
