just a few things

Just once, instead of saying "move along, nothing to see here", I'd like to hear a cop say "Hey everybody, come look at this"

We're having our christmas party for work in 2 weeks. We are doing a "goofy" gift exchange & if you actually spend cash it can't be more than 5 dollars. I was thinking about wrapping myself up because I am kinda goofy and I can certainly be bought for less than five bucks!

I may get in trouble at work for this one but I had to. The space in front of the doors at the station are clearly marked in big yellow letters "No Parking" (so that emergency vehicles can park as close to the door as possible) Every night we have to tell people, sorry , you can't park there (and it's usually the same freaking people over and over again) Last night I wasn't in a particularly good mood (just grumpy , no real reason) when a guy I have repeatedly told not to park there (and why) he sais back to me "oh, I'm just going to be a minute" I looked outside, chuckled and then replied "I can't believe I've been reading it wrong all this time. I could have sworn it says "no parking" and here it says "just gonna be a minute parking" " he got mad, called me a smart ass and said he was gonna talk to my boss about it. I won't get fired or anything but I will likely get a short talking to. I don't care. I've had enough of people who don't think signs and rules, etc. don't apply to them.

Tonight's hockey game. Vancouver vs Columbus. Well of course I have to pick the Canucks. I'll go 4-2 on the score.

I tend to be a smart Alex too when it comes to stupid people. ;o)

One of my pet peeves is able bodied people who park in handicapped parking spots. There never seems to be a cop around when they're parked there and I need the parking space.
